Capabilities

Here's what's on the floor right now, so you can work out whether your part fits before you send it. If it doesn't, ask anyway - we're adding equipment.

CNC ROUTER

​

Bed size 850 x 1300mm. Z clearance 80mm. Our smallest standard tooling for panel work is 3mm, but we can go smaller where the detail needs it.

​

Materials: Plywood, MDF and timber panels, solid hardwood, acrylic, engineering plastics, composites, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, foam and tooling board.

​

Typical work: panels and enclosures, brackets, jigs and fixtures, patterns and moulds, replacement parts, signage substrate and short production runs.

CO2 LASERS

We have two CO2 lasers, so we can run both at once. 80W on a 500 x 700mm bed, 60W on a 600 x 600mm bed. Cutting up to 10mm, material depending. Flat work only.

 

Materials: acrylic, MDF and plywood, rubber, leather, cork and felt, fabric, paper, card and mountboard.

Typical work: panels and fascias, templates and jigs, gaskets and seals, inlays and display pieces, signage, engraving and marking.

BEYOND CUTTING

​

CAD drawing and design for manufacture. Reverse engineering from a sample part. Assembly, fastening and threaded inserts. Finishing - sanding, edge polishing and paint.

TOLERANCES AND QUANTITIES

​

Tolerance is quoted job to job. It depends on the material, the geometry and how the part is held, so rather than publish a number we can't hold on every part, tell us what has to be exact and we'll tell you what we can do.

​

Quantities run from a single one-off through to production runs. What's practical comes down to the part.

Vector and 2D: DXF, DWG, SVG, AI, PDF. 3D CAD: STEP, IGES. Or a sketch, a photo, or the physical part.
